Previous - this entry written on July 28, 2005 at 10:26 am - Next So I now know what the ER is like around here. And how wel EMT people respond to 911. And that nobody in the ER here freakin' listens to me. After a seizure my blood pressure goes way up for a bit, then goes back down on its own pretty well. I do not react well to blood-pressure-lowering medication. I told them both of these things. Did they listen? ...that's right, they did NOT. Instead, they shot me up with a double dose of IV-fed blood pressure medication. When the first dose left me seriously woozy and even more dizzy and twitchy and drooling but didn't do jack for my blood pressure what did they do? GAVE ME A SECOND. I am not amused. I am also seeing everything double, seriously twitching, and my arms aren't working quite right. This sucks. And no, we still don't have air condiditioning. Dammit, I want to be back in Portland.
