Previous - this entry written on July 28, 2007 at 4:28 pm - Next When I tell you that the conversation we are having - or rather, you are loudly having and I'm occasionally getting a word edgewise in - is starting to bother me, "Yeah, so you'll just whine and run away" followed by hanging up the phone does NOT encourage me to pick the phone up when you call back a minute later. In fact, it pretty much ensures that I won't be bothering to talk to you for the rest of the evening. When you accuse me of whining - your word there - if I say anything negative at all and running away/not fighting/giving up if I DON'T say anything and get upset later and accuse me of lying or being manipulative if I try saying only nice things and you find out that I was actually pretty fucking upset... really, that leaves me with not much in the way of helpful options. So basically, as long as you're going to behave like a spoilt, poorly-trained puppy, I will continue to treat you like one, scold you when necessary, and otherwise not give you much in the way of attention and certainly no praise or encouragement. I don't like it when you act like this, particularly when I know quite well that you CAN and HAVE behaved better. I'll talk to you tomorrow. Yes, if you decide to take this as justification to go out and spend stupid amounts of money on booze, or for some reason thinks this proves I hate you and thus you must spend all night talking to your guns, I will be disappointed with you.
