It's been a busy week already - we've got a girl named Melee moving in and helping us clean, Orion's been a delight but also one hell of a distraction, we've been playing Taxi for half of Portland it seems, and yeah. Things are just a bit chaotic here.

It's the coldest night of the year here, cold enough that the air is amazingly clear, the night - and now morning - is alive with light and my GOD the way the city looks... it's enough to make you fall to your knees. Quite literally breathtaking. We, Cate, Orion, and I that is, went up to Mt. Tabor... oh. For those of you who aren't Portlanders, let me remind you that Portland is the only city that has an active volcano inside city limits. That would be Mt. Tabor. Beautiful, beautiful place, the whole top of it is a city park and from it you can see all of downtown, you can see out into Gresham, you can see into Beaverton (Torian, stop snickering), and tonight was astounding. PERFECTLY clear. It's a full moon, too... and we could see Venus. Beautiful.

I live in one of the most beautiful cities in the world.

I know I've been neglecting the journal again; I can't say for sure when I will return to proper posting, but likely either you won't hear from me at all until Melee is moved in or you will see a FLOOD of posts ranting about the move. If you don't hear from me, that's GOOD. That means I've got nothing to complain about. ^.^

Y'all know my email and phone, or if you don't, you likely know how to get ahold of someone who does. You're welcome to call any time and I check my email once a day at least, so yeah.

And now? I have food, penguins, snuggles, and a soft bed awaiting me. I'm gonna go be blissful.
