Barbell piercings, simple surgical steel, got it done while we were up in Portland for OryCon. I really love the way they look, quite nifty... and I suspect that once they heal up, I'll get quite a kick out of the enhanced sensitivity. Hell, I'm already enjoying that part to some extent. Problem is, my nipples are large and the barbells are a bit too short - the balls keep working their way back INTO the piercing on one side or the other, much ouching. Caleb has offered to trade out his rings for my barbells and if my current idea doesn't work, that's what we'll be doing. What idea? *grin* I have small styrofoam disks between the piercing's bead endings and my nipples, forcing both ends to remain out in the air. It kinda hurts, as it's compressing my nipples and involved a bit of twisting and shoving to get them on, but if the pain eases and they heal up decently... heh. Great. If not, I get to try to switch out piercings. And to think, I decided on barbells for the piercings because we thought they would be LESS painful and LESS trouble than if I got rings. Ow. I've been putting chammomile teabags, moistened with warm water, on them frequently, which does ease the pain quite a bit. Unfortunately, with the styrofoam in the way, that's just not very practical. *sighs* This bites. In better news, apparently Lerofera is back, alive and well, and all that. *grin* And I have pictures... my GOD she's yummy! Very Gwen Stefani, back in her Tragic Kingdom days.
