Previous - this entry written on April 27, 2006 at 10:34 am - Next *frustrated* ...trying to get a half-decent estimate on taxi fare from the ER to here. No luck so far. Best approximation from any taxi service that doesn't have horrifying reviews is 'around $20' and that's with me completely spacing the cross streets - the dispatcher is going to call back once he's figured out where the heck I am, and of course the MOMENT he hung up the phone I remembered 'em. *sigh* Hopefully he will indeed call back, and... ...double-crap, apparently the distance is about 22 miles, and despite me remembering it as around a 10-minute drive it is going to be a $60+ cost. Not cool, certainly not affordable, not even if I had the whole $50 left. Crap crap crap. Hmm.
