Previous - this entry written on October 31, 2007 at 4:10 am - Next *yawn* I just added the next part to the childrens' story I'm working on about Amber the freckle fairy (you can read it here if you're interested) and I'd love to get some feedback - does it read right for a book for children? Is there anything that seems stilted, or out of place? *blink* I'm trying to get the words finished mid-November so I can add the graphics and get it printed out properly in time to send it off as a Christmas present to a few little girls. The Amber version will, of course, be going to Amber; two other versions will be going to Maia and Rhi with appropriate names inserted instead of Amber. Side note, if I do get this finished I'll be making a post about it on all three journals and on DevArt, and anyone else who wants a copy is welcome to one with whichever names they'd like as long as they'll pay printing and shipping costs. *smile* Just before my desk chair died I'd gotten some good large-size mockups of the Machine story's first few pages and I'm hoping to find an agent soon. My head has been getting back to a point where I can get some decent writing done and I want to do so, it feels GOOD to be writing, even cutesy stuff, and even weird shit - yes, I noticed that rather tackily goth poem, don't think I didn't, and will be having a long chat with myself about why this journal should not be flooded with emo poetry. *faintly amused* Anyway, now that I've got that second chunk written, I am going to try and get some sleep. Tomorrow I go to test out body art on a stripper, to see if it makes a change in tips for the better or for the worse, and I've got to call the dentist, the doctor, write at least two emails, and call my parents. *mutter* At least I've got a pawful of pills ensuring that I can sleep tonight. Here's hoping they work.
