Because last night, we - Cate and I, the collared pair, Dalton, and Fei - were in the middle of nowhere, stuck in a hole in a snow-covered road, and were there through the night into the morning, getting home around 11 AM-ish.

Yeah, it was actually a GOOD experience; emotionally, spiritually, it was intense and amazing and one of those nights where the universe is at one with itself. I'm not going to go into details, partly because the English language isn't designed for them, partly because it's not entirely my story to tell, partly because hey, I'm lazy. Suffice it to say that today was spent almost entirely in sleeping, grinning at each other, talking quietly during the moments when we were awake, and generally resting and recovering.

I'll be going back to sleep at least briefly, I suspect; I could use the rest yet, and tomorrow will be somewhat busy.

This is mostly a 'yes, still here' sort of post... yeah, I've been making a lot of those. *wry grin* Life is complicated in ways that don't always translate well to text. Still, I AM here.
