So, quick quiz: how many of you remember the song "Going To The Chapel" by the Dixiecups? ...ok, yeah, I feel old. Anyway! Funny story about this song. The chorus of it goes like so:Going to the chapel And we're gonna get married Going to the chapel And we're gonna get married Gee I really love you And we're gonna get married Going to the chapel of love Myself, my kid sister, and two other friends approximately our age (Rachel and Shannon, for those who might recognize their names, I have no shame) had gathered up several bits of the gold-tone tinfoil from some candy, and had made up little wedding rings, one for each of us, all of them in a little box on top of some padding that I believe we'd taken out of a Care Bear. We, all four of us, were dressed up in nice dresses, with a whole bunch of toilet paper used for trains and veils, and with some flowers taken from the garden, and one of us carrying the box of rings, dun' remember who. We paraded all through the house, six or seven times, singing just that chorus over and over and over and over and - ehh, you get the idea. We finished our parade in front of my mother, held up the box of rings, informed her that we were marrying each other, all at once, and that she had to marry us. She really shouldn't be surprised I'm bi and poly. I was bi and poly when I was seven or eight, I just never grew out of it. *snicker*
