One Hell Of A Fine Party

Wow.

Oxycodone, alcohol, penguins, and decongestants, plus nasal steroids - everything but the alcohol and the penguins was at the doctor's orders, btw - but between it all, last night I managed to successfully have NO short-term memory whatsoever. I can look back and see most of the night, but it's in little flashes, like flipping through a book of short stories or (in the worst, or was that best? part) a picture book.

Rie stopped by toward the end of the evening - unfortunately, by the time she got over here I was already quite out-of-it and working my way toward bed. I ended up hitting the sack shortly after midnight, Caleb came in around 1-ish, I believe, and there is still a Scott crashed on the couch. *grins*

All in all, a damned good Fourth. Still a shame Grr and co. couldn't get out here, and I'd love to hear from Teapotica regarding her current Portland visitation - when I've finished writing this I'm gonna post a link to it in my livejournal account and that'll be all nifty 'cos I've not updated there in, like, a month? *wry grin*

I'd love to hear from ya - how was everyone else's Fourth of July, did you celebrate, and if so, how? C'mon people, someone out there must have had a Fourth that can easily top mine... or someone out there must have had the most BORING Fourth possible...

...yeah. *grins* I enjoyed yesterday a LOT. Now if I can just get my stomach to cooperate this morning... I'm half-tempted to try a hair of the dog (and penguin) that bit me but all flightless water fowls will have to wait until Caleb is up and I REALLY don't trust my tummy with alcohol two days in a row. Besides, I'm pretty out-of-it still this morning. Some things just don't wear off quickly, y'know?

But my theme song for the day is "Hella Good" or maybe "Good To Be Alive" and really, I've no complaints whatsoever. It's really great having Caleb back, even if it is just until Sunday morning, and I'm going to be thankful for that and NOT worry about anything else.

Worrying just isn't FUN, y'know? *poings off into the distance, hunting for skittles and Pibb Xtra*
