Definitions And A Cool Site

First off, I'd like to point ya'll to this cool new public diary, wherein you get to rant about pretty much anything that just PISSES YOU OFF, which I think is great. *grin* The world needs more rantboxes. They are an excellent form of stress relief.

Next, definitions for that BDSM thing:

Vanilla - someone with little or no interest in anything even remotely BDSM, usually someone who has never tried it and honestly believes he/she never will.

Master or Mistress - someone who takes Master/slave roles seriously, who extends BDSM play into everyday life, who has more than likely made a firm committment to Being On Top and wouldn't give that up for anyone, anywhere. Often demands extremes from any slave willing to give them.

Slave - someone who takes Master/slave roles seriously, who extends BDSM play into everyday life, who has more than likely made a firm committment to Being On The Bottom and wouldn't give that up for anyone, anywhere. Usually willing to go to incredible extremes for the right Master or Mistress.

Dom or Domme - someone who prefers a more dominant role, usually to the exclusion of anything that he or she perceives as submissive, much like a Master or Mistress... however, more flexible, and much more aware of the line between work and play.

Submissive - someone who prefers a more submissive role, usually to the exclusion of anything that he or she perceives as dominant, much like a slave... however, more flexible, and much more aware of the line between work and play.

Top - someone who prefers to take the dominant role in sexplay and erotic play, someone who is more skilled with whips and floggers (and knows the difference) than with taking them... but who has, more than likely, tried both at some point. Very clear lines between the scene and real life.

Bottom - someone who prefers to take the submissive role in sexplay and erotic play, someone who is more skilled with taking and enjoying whips and floggers (and knows the difference) than with using them on someone else... but who has, more than likely, tried both at some point. Very clear lines between the scene and real life.

Sadist - someone whose entire focus is the pain or torture of his or her partner. Takes the dominant role generally, but more for the convenience of it than because he or she feels it is somehow 'fitting' - if this person could hurt someone while bound, he or she would happily be bound. Prefers to be in charge, whether acting as top or bottom... and loves the sight of tears.

Masochist - someone whose entire forcus is the pain or torture he or she is receiving. Prefers the submissive role, because it more often results in pain, but is willing to 'take charge' if that's what is necessary to get the pain this person needs and craves.

That is, generally, what I meant by the divisions... *wry grin* ...if it'd let me have more than one TYPE of question, or more than 24 questions, I could make a more accurate test... and I'd love to see what sorts of tests other people develop.
