Open Letter To Someone I Don't Know Yet

Severine-a, I'm not 100% sure who you are, although *wry grin* I'm perfectly happy not knowing anything yet. I hope that you'll find reason to write here in d-land... the Slave Register is a wonderful and useful place but very... contained? One of the reasons Kadin and Torian keep duplicates of their Slave Register accounts here, as well as their personal diaries is because Diaryland has no set topics, no limits on what can and can't be written... and much more flexibility when it comes to the look-and-feel of each individual journal.

I want to thank you for filling out the survey... and thank everyone else as well. I can't see your faces, when you read my entries. I rarely have feedback, and to some extent that's ok - I can understand how complicated it could get, trying to give any useful critique on a personal journal. The survey, in all its oddness, actually means quite a bit to me because it lets me connect a bit more directly, it lets me get a bit better idea of what people are getting out of this. *shrugs*

You actually aren't the first to come across me via the Slave Register. Back when it was M/s, I quite happily kept my log there... I didn't realize it was about to become the Slave Register in time to move all my old logs off there, and I am somewhat saddened by that; Some of what I wrote, I would have liked to repost occasionally, or at least be able to look back at. But as I said, you're not the first, although most of them have come after reading Kadin's log and then looking for me. *chuckles* I wonder if anyone out there has started reading courtesy of Torian?

To answer your question, I'm 23 - birthday is January 15, 1979. I was born in either Coos Bay or Eugene, Oregon... I don't actually remember which, as I was born in one and my 4-years-younger sister (who I refer to as Boots) was born in the other, and I get them constantly confused. I THINK I was Eugene, but I wouldn't lay money on it.

I've kept up with Carol's log, and been occasionally disgusted, occasionally disturbed, and often entranced. She and her Owners are... extreme, to say the least, but definitely an interesting read. I hadn't checked it in several weeks though; thank you for bringing it back to my attention! If you know of any other good logs, I would love to have the addresses - now that the index is gone, it's harder and harder for me to keep up with the good ones.

I don't know if you've heard about it, but you might want to stop by Sin's diary... she and her Owner, BF, were members for a long time. Due to some disagreements over style and policy they left, along with several others, and Bound! is being formed as a more open and complete register, for Dom/mes as well as subs. Get in touch with her and I know she can provide you with details... courtesy of oxycodone I'm not remembering much of them at the moment, sadly. *sheepish*

I have indeed devoured the Gor books (and the rest of his that I could get ahold of; Time Slave in particular was quite amusing) and through them, stumbled into the wonderful world of Boris Valejo. Delicious artwork.

I don't know if you've really wandered through Diaryland much, but if you haven't taken a look yet I'd like to recommend a few great diaries. First off, there's Isis-Osiris, a public erotica journal that I've mentioned a few times... it's worth glancing through. Next, a few friends: iambound (you'll have to ask her for a password, but it's well worth it), meganlala of the Aussie accent and level if cluttered head (she has no sheep), astrophil (a sometimes-teacher in England, very into kink - get his history out of him and you will learn quite a bit about life, and men, and possibly punting), my alter ego little kajira, my other alter ego Briar Heartsinger, the amazing Sin, her mate and Master BF, and Unsent Letters, the public journal full of (surprise) unsent letters. There are an untold number of other delights here, including Master Wheelie and paw4awhile, his 24/7 slave... I really suggest checking out a few of their diary rings to find other BDSM-ers.

Now that I've drowned you in links... *chuckles a bit* ...do you mind if I ask you a couple questions?

You've been reading my journal for quite a while now... why? What is it that keeps you reading through? Do you have any advice for me? I've answered the bit about age, and now I'm asking quite seriously - is there anything about my life, or my writing, or my anything else, that you want to know?

*shruggles* Whether you answer or not, thank you again for the survey... and for giving me a bit of an ego boost (being stalked in THAT sense is always kind of nice). I hope you keep reading, and I hope that life treats you well. *smile*
