SUBJECT: *glares suspiciously at the intimidating, empty box that is his subject line*

MESSAGE: I think Furc crashing when it did was some sort of divine intervention to unglue me from my computer screen, so I took the opportunity to make a run for it, explaining to my friends that Obscenely Late is the new Fashionably Late.

I went to a certain support group today. We all met in a disused church hall, surrounded by the lingering aroma of jumble sales and coffee mornings, where we took turns to stand up and say �Hello everyone, My name is [blank] and I have a Mouse Problem.� Then we applauded each other supportively and came to the conclusion that having a Mouse Problem didn't make us any less of a cat ... so I came home again, satisfied and determined to undertake Step Two some time in the far distant future.

Anyway, timing is all and out of question for the first part of this week. I live a weird, Clark Kent in reverse sort of life in which I'm a formidable academic by day and an ice-cream maker by night ... don't laugh. Or do laugh but don't try to understand. From Thursday, however, my schedule lets up a little ... in fact, on Thursday night I would tenatively claim to free, although that's Thursday day for you, which might be awkward. But if you can contrive to get on at any time after 10 in the morning (your time), please let me know and I'll meet you with the greatest delight.
