More Midi Debating

Mp3's convert poorly to MIDI, at least in my experience... the lyrics get lost or the accompaniment is too loud or too quiet or whatever. It's just messed up.

Currently, I've been looking at my ridiculously huge collection of MIDI songs and these are the ones that have caught my attention:

A song called 'weird' that I think is an original creation of someone's but I have NO idea whose.

"Blue Monday", which isn't exactly a theme song but which has come damned close, some days. I've got a decent MIDI version of it already.

"Like A Prayer" - ok, I'm both a bit of a romantic and have horrible taste, but this is a Madonna song I really do love. Although admittedly, it's not quite... right... for my page.

"Mack The Knife" and I go way back, this is a song I've known for years and even more so since I met Juliet... besides, it's so catchy... *wry grin*

"Marble Halls", by Enya. This one catches my imagination quite a bit, but the version I have isn't the greatest, sadly.

"People are Strange", another good song but bad MIDI in my collection. Appropriate... but it really IS horribly done. *sigh*

"Paint It Black"... *looks around at the diary's current coloration* ...is it not fitting?

A bit of flute playing from Sailor Moon, something that really is pretty and even well done, but how many people would actually get the reference? Does it matter?

The theme from "Raiders of the Lost Ark"... erm... *grinning madly* ...harrison ford when he was young and tasty. Need I say more?

The Time Warp. Now this could get complicated... but it really is a part of my life and I might keep it on the page just to remind myself of that.

An enya song that I don't know the name of, unless it's Bard Dance... pretty piece. Currently, it and "weird" are tied for top in my favorites... you'd have to hear them to understand. They aren't meant to have lyrics, they are just meant to be... there. Pretty.

"Break Me, Shake Me" is the last one I'll list here. I've got a great version of it and damned if that song doesn't still fit myself and everyone I've ever interacted with, all of us playing both roles at times.

Anyway... any more suggestions? I'm going to see if I can hunt down MIDI versions of some of the songs you've suggested and if I like 'em, they get added to the possibles list. *grin*
