I'm alive, still... tired, still... I had some sushi *poings about happily* and although Grr prefers Takahashi, I really do prefer the taste of the food at I Love Sushi. Dunno why... maybe it's the fact that all their sushi seems sweeter and fresher, to me. I might just have screwed-up tastes when it comes to sushi, of course.

I will agree with her that the waitstaff there is terrible... we were both tired, confused, trying to decide what to order, and the things Grr wanted weren't on the menu, so she was a bit pissy... and instead of being helpful, or obliging us when we asked for simple things such as my request for a piece of paper so I could write stuff down and thus figure prices (the bitch said "Sorry, we don't do that here")... instead of being helpful and nice, they glared, and were rude, and refused to be useful at all. *pouts*

I still say the food kicked ass, though. I ate most of two unagi-and-cucumber sushi rolls, two pieces of unagi (a teryaki-style cooked freshwater eel on rice), two pieces of ebi (cooked sweet shrimp on rice), two pieces of tamogo? (a lovely sweetened fluffy slice of omlet on rice), a few bites of Grr's Tempura Squid, and plenty of Tempura broth, pickled spiced ginger, and soy sauce. *happy happy happy* Kenji, I cannot begin to express how glad I am that you got me to start in on sushi. You rock. *grin*

And now that I've had my say, I'm off to eat, and nap some more, and be upset that Kadin doesn't know to try calling here... *sigh* ...foolish boy. I want to talk to him. I know I'm going to get to see Caleb soon, and Torian I can see online often, but I haven't talked to Kadin in quite some time... I'd hoped to talk to him on Sunday but didn't, nor Monday, nor Tuesday, etc. It's starting to become frustrating.

To anyone who happens to see him online: tell him to try calling Vicki's house ONCE on the land line if he first tries my place and I don't answer.
