It was a bladder infection, even though the stupid-arse ER nurse said it wasn't. She was on duty today too, and she made it clear she thought I was faking it. Made noises about how when I came in just recently, it wasn't an infection, said that they "...did a full battery of tests and you don't have an infection, we would have treated you if you had an infection." Note the 'don't' instead of 'didn't'.

So, we went into the Urgent Care section. And did a test. And the doctor there came in and said that I not only had a bladder infection, it had spread and was a UTI at this point, and that they damned well should have given me the antibiotics I asked for WHEN I ASKED FOR THEM.

So now I have a full run of the most potent antibiotic he could get me - he didn't even perscribe me one, but gave me a set of 7 1-day samples, the ones that are supposed to only take ONE day to work, and told me to take them for the full seven days. That, plus a pawful of 800mg ibprofin and a couple oxycodone for tonight while the pain's still agonizing... the antibiotic should also take care of my throat pain.

So at the moment I'm sipping a glass of Dr. Pepper and root beer schnapps, two oxycodone, two 800mg, the antibiotic, and four alieve in my stomach along with a nice dose of dinner and a bit of anti-nausia medication. I'm starting to relax, to feel a bit better... it's a good thing.

Now, if I can just get some sleep TONIGHT, instead of some time tomorrow afternoon...

...and dammit, I still need to get out to Gresham, and to call my mom and let her know - I promised to make sure she knew if I took antibiotics, and to get in touch with Caleb again. The last couple times he's called my voice has been out and I've been in enough pain to make my conversation a bit absent and not-so-useful but hopefully over the weekend we'll get to talk a bit more.

Ok. Off to rest. Rest is good, neh?
