My Own Version Of Quoted
Previous - this entry written on October 27, 2001 at 2:45 pm - Next

My words are not my own now, but quotes and phrases and a thousand overheard and half-read things I found today.

"No, she heard in her head, while her body was screaming do it again."

"I am not the sum of my hearts."

"Do you get the gist of the song now?"

"And I hate him just enough to get off."

"It's hard to be a girl, sometimes."

"Hey now, can't you feel me...?"

"before... all those questions. they were rhetorical. i wasn't asking them."

Something about this all is me.

"i didn't fall in love with sex, i fell in love with feeling. so i wasn't straight. but i wasn't gay. i quit trying to be anything, and just liked who i liked."

"A man wearing a mask that obscures his face can

be seen standing on snow"

"The paramount duty of a slave to her master is honesty."

"Whenever we met, these unspoken words echoed across the dark canyons between us. From inside my cave I would call to you, you who were somewhere out there in the endless universe. Each of us was trying somehow to connect. But we couldn't, because we were holding up the masks that kept each other from seeing who we really were. So my mask talked to your mask and yours to mine. Our masks became friends with each other, while the real you and the real me never met."

I'm not sure why I'm in a quoting mood but I am.

"If every slave girl in the place hates you, because the eyes of every man are on you and not them, you are a success as a slave girl."

"You see, we women are by nature pretty cruel and catty towards members of our own sex, we do not trust another woman as much as we would a man and we are damn suspicious creatures. For someone to call me 'sister' without truly knowing me, I would view that woman as shallow."

"Caught in another memory..."

"mercy is bad for the vision, ruthlessness will clear it away"

"The Hindi word 'Champi' (from which the word shampoo is derived) means head massage."

"Glory be to God for dappled things"

That last one was from Alex. I asked him to quote me a line of poetry.

"I feel so elated... please bring me joy..."

"I want to be someone else or I'll explode."

"I have spread my dreams under your feet, tread softly because you tread on my dreams"

"Paul Jamin's painting of the Gaulish chieftain who sacked Rome: framed in a doorway, swaggering into one of the patrician's houses, and surveying the spoils that have been piled up for him: a couple of ashen-faced severed heads; jars of coins; silks and jewelry; one of the standard Roman short swords; and of course, five captive women."

"Maybe he went in there to jerk off since by then he knew he wasnt going to cum with me."

"Because not only were they both mine, but they were lovers. Devoted to each other."

My brain is tumbling around most illogically now.
