I'm going back to bed while I try to deal with this new empty spot in my head and heart. No, it WON'T be the same. Yes, it apparently IS necessary. Weaknesses are bad things. But at least next time - if there is a next time - I won't back down from what I know I want and need. No more protective voice telling me not to hurt 'em.
